My Master's thesis "Rethinking Refrigerated Containment: a new vision of refrigerated exports", took a holistic, practice-lead-design exploration of transportation systems, supply chain and logistical infrastructure involved with the export of New Zealand primary meat exports. This project explored and questioned the status-quo of New Zealand's meat exports and infrastructure. In response I offer a visionary non-traditional concept which I hope questions a traditional industry. This thesis documented my research journey and findings along with ideation and my creative problem solving approach to this project. With the help of a good friend, Lauren Wepa, we complied a encompassing document which followed the same design language as the physical counterpart.

"To establish the layout and overall visual tone of the book, we based it on two key principals, asymmetry and balance. This again was reflected in the design component of the project and was aimed to be visionary and non-traditional approach to the project. No page is symmetrical in layout and achieves balance through asymmetry, accompanied by opposing type orientation influenced by container typography. This document aims to take you on a journey, from research to design proposition, highlighted through the carefully crafted blue tonal palette; starting with a deep blue and finishing with a bright blue." Lauren Wepa.
